Okinawa, Chasing the Sun
Japan has 6,852 islands. Quite some options to choose, right? If you’re into sun and water sports, Okinawa is your destination. We suggest you to take a one hour ferry from Naha Okinawa, land in Tokashiki, part of the Kerama Islands group, and enjoy the Subtropical weather. There you can find Marine House Aharen, a hotel right at Aharen beach that offers marine sport tours, such as snorkeling, scuba diving and jet ski tubing.
For 5,000 ¥ you can take a two hours boat tour around some beautiful snorkel spots, with an instructor giving basic instructions and tips. Kids from 5 years old can enjoy this experience, discovering colorful fishes, coral reefs and sea turtles. Snorkel, fins, goggles and wet suit are included. Their English, they say, it’s sort of limited, but they do their best to communicate with foreigners.
